FAMILY Federation for World Peace and Unification-Zimbabwe Chapter (FFWPU-Zim) Chairman who is also the leader of the largest religious organization in Zimbabwe – Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ) President Archbishop Johannes Ndanga returned home from a Korean peace expedition on Saturday.
The man of God who was attending a one-week peace forum in Korea at Chung Poyang Confrence Centre ahead of Global Peace Confrence to be hosted in Africa was conferred with a special post as the “Special Envoy to Dr Hak Jah Han Moon, the leader and founder of FFWPU globally.
The post allows the Archbishop to report directly to the founder of FFWPU without interference of anyone.
“My visit to Korea was based on special invitation by Mother Moon following her maiden visit to Zimbabwe”
“There were issues discussed about Zimbabwe and these include sanctions, need to establish International Media for Peace and Development Association and investment among others”, the Archibishop said.
He was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Energy Mutodi who was also representing Government at the Conference.
Dr Moon is already engaging with the western world to negotiate and deliberate on sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe.
“I can assure that the issue is expected to be deliberated in February and will see engagement of United States of America (USA) and European Union (EU).”
Following successful Peace Festival, Zimbabwe is also expected to be hosting the Global Peace Summit 2019, bringing in investiment that will see a huge part of the economy benefitting.
“The ball is in our hands, Zimbabwe was given first preference in Africa to host “FFWP Global Peace Summit 2019”, one day you will see cable trains in Victoria Falls coming from this summit,” said Archibhop Ndanga.
